I'm an expat who has several luxury apartments for rent with no bull #%@* attached. All are located next to the Pearl River 5 minutes walk to the under ground "METRO" #2 line, 7 minutes by METRO to the door of both trade fair venues, great location and cheaper than a hotel!
Our rates for short term are 5800 RMB per week and 11,800 per week during the trade fair's. The apartments "new" 2 bedroom = king and regular size, 1 bath, two balcony, and are fully equiped with nice furniture, a/c, washer, tv, internet, and every thing else you need for a comfortable stay.
The best thing is they are western standard CLEAN, you will find that is very rare here.

Luxury apartment over looking the Pearl river near the Guangzhou bridge. This is the best location to get to and from both convention halls. It's a under a 5 minute walk to the underground and only 2 stops to the fair, during the fair taxis are impossible to get and very expensive, don’t stay anywhere that is not near Metro line #2. You can be out our door and in the fair door in 15 minutes.
The condo is new and is in the up-scale Landing Garden complex. The condo is furnished with everything you need. We can also arrange a maid for you or just about anything else you wish. There is a (CLEAN) western style grocery store attached to the complex on the ground floor. Many good restaurants and bars are in the neiborhood along with McDonalds and KFC if you need fast food.

Price
First fair: 15th--20th 4500rmb
Second fair: 25th--30th 4500rmb
Any day before or between : 400/day
