We have a decent sized room available in the downstairs area of a 3 bedroom apartment. This room would suit someone who works in the city.
You would have your own toilet. Also, the room has a double bed; but if you want to buy all bedroom furniture (which includes the bed, a study desk, chair, shoe rack, steel trays and a bedside table), everything is only $150 so it's quite a bargain!
The monthly rent of $847.33 does NOT include bills and internet. For the bills, we only have to share the costs of electricity and water. Gas is free!
The apartment block itself is located opposite Victoria Market - excellent location if you're working in the CBD since you don't need to go on the tram or train anymore. It's a 5 minute walk to Melbourne Central and to the City Baths if you want to go to the gym or pool.
It is close to Melbourne or Rmit university so very suitable for students. Just 6 mins' walk to Melbourne University.
There are shops everywhere so you'll never get hungry or bored living here!
THE HOUSEMATES
The current tenants are two girls, both of Asian background. One is aged 30 and the other, 33. I (30 yo) am working in IT and have lived in this apartment for 2 years now. I like it here because of the location and also, it's a quiet one so I can do my own stuff knowing that the other housemates respect my privacy.
The other girl (33) is also professionally employed in the city. She loves cooking and is great at it! She is also very respectful of other people's privacy so we get along pretty well.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Someone easy going and friendly
* Someone who does their part in cleaning the apartment. We have weekly rosters for cleaning common areas. Your room is your own responsibility though.
* Someone who doesn't have pets (sorry, the agent doesn't allow pets).
* Someone who pays the rent on time and is reliable with the bills.
* Did I mention someone who's clean? :-)
