Piano & Primary English Teacher

Ting is a primary school registered teacher in Australia and an experienced private piano (classical) teacher. She has been teaching students learning piano/keyboard since 1992. She learned from Shan Deng (pianist, lecturer, and sub-dean in Conservatorium of UTAS) at Conservatorium in UTAS from 2004 to 2005. Ting performs Beethoven’s Pathetique and Moonlight sonatas, Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude and many music pieces of Waltz, Rachmaninoff’s Op. 3, Mozart’s A Major sonata (K. 331), Czerny’s Etudes such as books of No.139, 599, 849, 299, and 740. Ting is familiar with books of John Thompson, Alfred, and Hanon for teaching students.

One piano student needs to take one lesson (one hour) every one or two weeks, or once every one month. This is up to the student. Teaching in student’s house and $30 per hour. Contact through email alittlelittlebird@gmail.com or call her on 04 3202 1209 (Optus prepaid).

Ting is also an experienced Chinese/Mandarin teacher. Children will learn singing, dancing, communicating in Chinese/Mandarin, identifying and reading aloud at least 1000 Chinese characters, reading picture books, nursery rhymes, and writing in a range of genres.

Ting has successfully tutored many non-English speaking students to prepare IELTS exam. Most of them have improved a score of 0.5 in each component. If you have problem with Band 6 in each component in IELTS or Band 7 in Speaking, Ting can help you to easily achieve this goal by just a 2-hour lesson. $30 one student for 2 hours, or $40 two students for 2 hours, or $50 three students for 2 hours, and so on.
